Evelyn had to miss her ballet classes this week, thanks to a painful wart on her foot.  The silver lining is more train time with her little sister.  They love building train layouts together.

A one-inch snow surprised us this morning.  Julia and I took a drive out in the country, and I took this picture.  This farm is about four miles northwest of our house in Montgomery County.

What I Do

What do I do?  I let my 4-year-old princess dress how she wants and choose her lunch.  Her birthday is three months away, but why not wear birthday clothes in January?

I love the art deco style of this mosaic.  This compass points to the four corners of New York City that I observed from 67, 69 and 70 floors above ground level.

What I Saw

Degas' "Little Dancer Aged Fourteen" at the Metropolitan Museum of Art.  One of my favorite things I saw at the museum today.

Delicious

Tonight Evelyn and I enjoyed these teeny-tiny bites of New York City deliciousness.  Really.  They are minuscule. No bigger than the diameter of an Oreo.  But flavor?  Absolutely!

An Ordinary Moment

Yellow

Evelyn has been hard at work, painting her cardboard princess castle.  And Julia has been playing with her three-inch princess dolls nonstop.  This made finding something yellow quite easy.

Circle

The girls started a new session of swimming lessons today.  I knew the Germantown Indoor Swim Center would provide some fabulous circles for today's picture.....and it did.

Surprise

Surprise!  Julia likes hummus!  So much so, she begged and pleaded with Troy to make it.  She got her wish today, and she was happy as a clam.

1:00 this afternoon found Julia and me at the Germantown Library.  Julia needed a new chapter book for bedtime, and Evelyn had six Black-Eyed Susan nominees waiting for her.  It was sooooo quiet at the library today - nobody else was there!

Evelyn has been reading my new Kindle more than me.  She was already a bookworm, but now she is a Kindle bookworm.

Today

Today.  Today was about spending time with the girls.  Today was spent seeing a really funny movie that the girls enjoyed.  Today we went to one of our favorite movie theaters.
